Golden Glow

Delanie DuBroc Van Ness

Being a handcrafted jewelry artist has taught me far more than how to work with wire, gemstones, and metal. It has taught me perseverance when a design doesn't come together as I imagined, gratitude for every person who chooses to wear something made by my hands, and the confidence to trust my creativity even when the outcome is uncertain. I've also learned to embrace imperfections, recognizing that some of the most beautiful pieces emerge through patience, refinement, and the willingness to begin again.

Those lessons have shaped not only my work but also my life. My faith has continually reminded me that, much like gold, we are refined through seasons of challenge. Gold does not become beautiful without enduring the fire, and I believe the same is true for us. The refining process can be difficult, but it produces strength, character, and a beauty that cannot be manufactured.

This collection celebrates individuality and timeless style. Every design reflects my desire to create wearable works of art that feel personal, meaningful, and impossible to duplicate. My hope is that each piece reminds the woman who wears it to embrace her uniqueness, live with intention, trust the process of becoming, and always remember that even life's refining seasons can produce something beautiful.

Wear art. Live beautifully. Be Golden.

About the Artist
Be Golden Jewelry is the creative vision of Shreveport native Delanie DuBroc Van Ness, a self-taught jewelry artist whose passion for creating wearable works of art began in her early twenties. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a thriving business; and over the past twelve years, Delanie has refined her craft through dedication, curiosity, and countless hours at her workbench.

The name “Be Golden” carries a deeper meaning rooted in both faith and purpose. Gold is one of the world's purest and most treasured metals, yet it only reaches its greatest beauty after enduring the refining fire. That symbolism serves as the heart of the brand.

Today, Be Golden Jewelry can be found in boutiques and galleries throughout Louisiana, including 318 Art & Frame, King's Antiques & More, Agora Borealis, Birdwell's, the Alexandria Museum of Art Shop, the Shreveport Farmers' Market, and the Provenance Farmers Market.

Through her growing Instagram community, @BeGoldenJewelry, she shares new collections, behind-the-scenes glimpses into her creative process, and the inspiration that continues to shape both her art and her life.
