Artist Statement

Mori is a dialogue of the effects human society has on nature in the American west, specifically the Rocky Mountain region. From oil pipelines and climate change to poaching and overfishing, the threats posed to the flora and fauna cause dwindling population numbers, the introduction of diseases, loss of habitats, increase of fire hazards, and risks of extinction. Viewers are encouraged to ruminate on the irreversible damage done to the fragile mountain and tundra ecosystems and consider what can be done to prevent further loss.
