Community Art Critique

Join us for a community art critique!

Four artists will each present up to five recent or in-progress works. Each artist will have 30 minutes to introduce their work and field questions from each other and the audience.

This event is free and open to the public, and is intended to:

- Provide feedback and ideas for the artists’ artistic practice,

- Create new or renewed connections with other local artists and art supporters, and

- Provide an educational opportunity for audience participants to engage with artists and their work.

ADDITIONAL INFO FOR ARTISTS

Interested artists should email their name, genre of work, and images of three works to meadows@centenary.edu to be considered.

If selected, you will be provided with approximately 20 feet of wall space to display up to 5 artworks. Your pieces should be current - recently completed works, or even works-in-progress.

You are responsible for hanging your work in the space and for removing it. Unless your work requires specialty hardware, the museum has installation supplies (screws, drills, nails, hammers, etc.) on hand that you can use. We also have a limited number of pedestals – please let us know ahead of time if you would need any made available to you.

Come willing and ready to engage with the other artists and their works. Each artist will have 30 minutes in the spotlight. You may want to say a few words about your work in general, but let most of the time be for discussion.

Load out and clean-up will take place immediately following the event, and artists should be prepared to take their works with them at that time.
